John Eldershaw 1892– 1973
Under Tower Bridge 1929 Lithograph 11 ¼ × 17 inches (28.5 × 43.2 cm) Signed and titled Edition of 6 Eldershaw studied in Sydney under Julian Ashton. From 1927 to 1929, he worked in London, and studied printmaking at the Central School. Returning home, he became one of Australia’s most respected artists, and was for many years President of the Australian Watercolour Institute. He exhibited widely and is represented in national and state museum collections. |
